Here is a good pic of the bottom of the base stand. The metal cutouts on each end had an angle bent in them, just enough to raise the base about 1/8 inch.
This wasn't high enough, I could hear the fans pull for air, so I had to raise the base a little more using two pieces of RG8 coax.
Gluing two pieces at each angle did the trick.

The coax also solved the problem of what material to use over the plates to keep them from scratching the floor.

The metal skeleton had a plate screwed into the bottom covering an access hole . It was just the perfect size so I just removed the plate to expose the fans once the base was mounted.

The tape was temperary. Silicon holds the wires in place. I don't believe I didn't notice it when I took the photo.
