OVERVIEW

This project integrates with science.  You will research fossil fuels and an assigned alternative energy.  Your goal is to convince the audience, the reader, why your alternative energy is better than fossil fuels.  To do this, you will need to gather facts about fossil fuels and the assigned alternative energy.  Various sources will be used: classroom textbook, library resources, and internet resources, which are listed below.  Utilize source cards and note cards to track where your information was obtained.  The 5 paragraph essay will consist of the following paragraphs:

  1. introductory

  2. fossil fuels

  3. defining and explain your alternative energy

  4. advantages of the alternative energy

  5. conclusion paragraph.

If you follow the rubric you will be successful.  This project is double-graded, which means a grade is earned in science and English (a research grade and an essay grade).
