"And He (Jesus) died for all (for everyone), so that those who live should no longer live unto themselves, but unto Him who died for them, and rose again. Therefore, from now onward we regard no man according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet (He) is known now (currently) no longer. Therefore, if any man (any person) is in Christ, he is a New Creation; old things have passed away; behold, new-things have come into being (into existence). And all-things (these new things) are from God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing (or counting) their trespasses unto them; and has committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us; and we implore you in Christ's behalf, be you reconciled to God. For He (God the Father) has made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; so that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him (in Jesus)." (See 2 Corinthians 5:15-21)

In the Bible, a person who truly becomes a Christian, is described as someone who acknowledges, accepts, and receives Jesus the Christ, the Son of the One and Only Living God - as their Lord, and their Savior from the curse of sin and its consequences: eternal separation from God and His Eternal Kingdom. Jesus said that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life! And that no person can come unto God the Father except through Jesus Himself. (see John 14:6)

As it says above: when a true believer "is in Christ, he is a New Creation; old things have passed away; behold, new-things have come into being (into existence). And all-things (these new things) are from God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ."

Jesus Himself said, “I will pray to the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, so that He may abide with you forever; even the Spirit of Truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees Him not, nor knows Him. But you know Him; for He dwells with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless; I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world will see Me no more; but you see Me; and because I live, you shall live also. In that day you shall know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.” (see John 14:16-20)
