| Faith/Family Formation & Childrens Liturgy of the Word |
| We are in need of catechists to teach Faith Formation during the school year. We usually need two catechists per grade for preschool through grade 10. Preschool-grade 6 meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:00 PM and grades 7-10 meet from 7:15-8:30 PM in the lower level. All materials are provided. We also need substitutes that can step in from time to time if a catechist is ill or out of town. Family Formation meets once a month and has one catechist. It is a new pilot program that we offer for families who prefer to home school. Childrens Liturgy of the Word meets during the readings and Homily at the 9:00 AM Sunday Mass in the lower level. We ask that the volunteers sign up for one Sunday a month--for example the first Sunday of every month. Children's Liturgy is for children age 3 through grade 1. Here the Liturgy leader reads a much simpler gospel reading that the children can understand and then they fill out an activity sheet. The children return to Mass upstairs during the collection. Children of catechist have their Faith Formation fee waived. If you have questions or would like to participate in our Faith Formation Ministry, please contact our elementary coordinator, Jean Edstrom at 507-263-4680 or email to ffelementary@frontiernet.net or call our jr/sr high coordinator, Debbie Bauer at 507-263-4680 or email to ffhighschool@frontiernet.net. |
