| Thanks to Larry Lee and the nine volunteers that helped with the ditch clean-up on Thursday, April 26th. Larry also put on the KC Fireman's supper a few weeks ago for the Randolph firemen. Gary Sigmeth organized the tootsie roll drive, the last weekend of April. We took in a total of $752 which will be split between the State Special Olympics and the Vasa Children's Home. Four of us met for the "Packing for the Weekend" the first week in April. Upcoming events... Our next meeting will be on Thursday, May 10th. We will begin the evening at 6:40 PM with Rosary upstairs in church. At 7:00 pm our regular meeting will start. Rob Siebenaler will be our speaker and talk about what is happening with various types of real estate around the Cannon Falls area. Lunch will be served following the meeting. Larry Peine, Gary Sigmeth and Ed Lorentz will be serving the Cannon Falls firemen this week. Ed Gergen, Butch Lorentz, Bruce Nord and Ron Reinardy will be packing backpacks for the "Packing for the Weekend" on May 3rd at the Cannon Falls High School to help those kids whose families are unable to provide the necessary food for their children's needs. On May 3rd at 6:45 AM a breakfast will be served at St. Ansgars (Goodwill offering) for our ecumenical, National Day of Prayer event in our community. Fellow parishioners Barb Ripley and Bucky Lindow will be the key speakers. On May 6th we are all invited to join the Minnesota Catholic Conference in a Rosary Procession for Marriage. This starts at 1:30 PM at the Cathedral of St. Paul. The KC convention will be taking place in Rochester from May 18th to the 20th. Please let John Wegmann know if you would like to be a convention delegate. Our council will pay your way. This is a good chance to meet many other KC's throughout the state. Our elections are planned to be held at our meeting in June at the fairgrounds. |
