Required Materials:
Students are required to maintain a student notebook, preferably a three-ring binder, to collect lecture notes, outlines, graphic organizers and activities distributed in class. Students will need to bring this notebook, the textbook, pens & pencils, a highlighter and a straight edge (or ruler) to class each day. The TJHS mathematics department strongly encourages the purchase of a TI83 or TI84 Silver Edition graphing calculator. This calculator is appropriate for subsequent math and science courses at Jefferson; it is also permitted on the PSAT and SAT tests. The sooner students learn the calculator, the better prepared they are for these tests.
