Reni was born in Germany and immigrated to the USA when she was 20 years old. She moved to Oregon in 1992 where she met her husband Jerry, the love of her life. They reside on a secluded Forest farm in southern Oregon, where they grow some of the gourds she uses in her craft.
 

Reni explored her creative talents throughout her life, but it wasn't until the 1990's that she discovered gourds. She loves their versatility and the many ways they can be crafted. It was during that time that her first sculptures and vessels were crafted. Reni enjoys one-o-f-a-kind creations so her work is continuously evolving.
 

Her early series of old-world Santa's have become collectors items. Collectors of her gourd craft reside in the USA and throughout the world.
