Thanks for your interest in my 1/72 Experimenters Type V11C Cylinder
kit. The total length is about 14.5 inches, and is 2 inches in diameter at its
widest section. It is two 6-inch sections of 2 in OD lexan tube with four o-ring end caps,
and a 2-inch section of 1.75 inch OD lexan with one o-ring end cap. It is designed to go
into the hull through the deck at its widest point in two sections and easily assembled
inside. No hull cutting is required.
I used two GWS park flyer motor/gearbox assemblies to power the
model, and a RCABS (Recirculating compressed air ballast system) ballast system. All the
components used are off the shelf.
I include the 15 components * of the basic Cylinder and a CD ROM with
over 100 photos of my R/C design. Also on the CD are a list of the components I used in
mine, where I purchased them, and a basic text of how I built mine. This is not a step-by-step how to kit, but it is
not hard to build. I give you the basic Cylinder, and a proven design to work with. If you
do not choose to use my design, you have a base to complete your own operating system. It is not hard for anyone to follow what I did, but I do
take into account you already know basic model building techniques. This is one reason why
I call it an experimenters kit.
I have to say the sub runs very well and I am quite happy with it. I
am asking $90 plus shipping for the experimenters kit. I try to keep them in stock
but as I build them on a first come first served basis e-mail me with your order and I
will contact you as I get your kit done. I will take no money till I am ready to ship.
Thanks for your interest, Dave.
I am also selling the RCABS pump I used in my installation. The
pump is $35.
I use new twin side (Saddle Tank) mounted bladders which are now
included in the basic kit.
I am also selling the modified motor/gearbox's now after having many
requests. They are $25 each. (Two Required)
