CHERRI JACKSON

Cherri Jackson has trained in Ballet, Tap and Jazz since childhood in Ottumwa, IA and was the youngest person asked to join the advance dance company.  After moving to Minnesota, her professional training continued with  the likes of Savion Glover, Dianne Walker, Henry LeTang, Bril Barrett, Robert Atwood (Alvin Ailey Dance Company), Guillem Alonso and Roser Font (Barcelona), and more.  Cherri is a member of the Heartbeat Studios’ Adult Tap Dance Ensemble and has performed at venues including Bogart’s, The Quest, Minneapolis Convention Center, Old Arizona Theater, Eastview High School Theater, Lakeville High School Theater and Apple Valley High School Theater.  Along with teaching Tap to students of all ages, Cherri serves as Heartbeat’s Administrative Assistant.  Cherri’s two sons, Domonique and Kenlan are following in their mother’s foot steps and are young members of Heartbeat dance companies.
