            BUILDING
            FEATURES
            Heartbeat Studios (construction completed
in January 1998), was specifically designed with the needs
of performing arts students and instructors in mind. The building,
located in Apple Valley, MN, overlooks a beautiful pond and
has its own parking lot. This spacious building, over 5,800
square feet, features a large studio that can be divided into
two smaller studios by a 4-1/2 inch thick acoustic folding
wall. The sprung Maple wood floors are refinished every year
for the safety of the dancers. Each dance studio has a complete
audio/visual system for playing music and film study as well
as a full length mirrored wall and fixed and portable ballet
barres. Each studio is equipped with high efficiency heating,
cooling and air circulation systems. The building boasts a
15 foot ceiling and five 8-foot square picture windows. Oversized
                  men’s and women’s
restrooms double as dressing rooms. Heartbeat has two lobbies for class observation
where parents are welcomed to watch their children dance anytime. There are two
smaller studios for private piano, guitar and singing lessons. For convenience,
Heartbeat provides a lunchroom and study area for its students to do homework
while waiting for classes. Heartbeat Studios can be converted into a theater
(300 seating capacity) and hosts a variety of self-produced and outside events
each year.
