Bleak House

Just like its namesake in the novel by Charles Dickens, Bleak House, as you can see, isn’t at all bleak. When I was planning this adventure, I thought the house should have a name. My first thoughts were along the lines of Jay View Cottage since that’s Jay Mountain you see in the distance. But all my ideas were pooh-poohed as unimaginative.

“Why not something literary?”

“You mean like Bleak House”

Well, it stuck. I’ve come to like it.
