The WWW Shortwave Listening Guide

You are a science teacher who has been approached by a technology teacher about the possibility of collaborating on some interdisciplinary lessons. The two of you are only in the initial stages of figuring out what topics might be appropriate for interdisciplinary lessons, and are casting about for ideas. The technology teacher, being a short wave radio buff, thinks that there might be some radio programs that could help both of you come up with ideas. He knows that there is a web site that lists short wave radio programs by day and time, and he thinks the web site could possibly even be used in some lessons, there are even hyperlinks to web pages for some radio programs. He wants your opinion on how easy it is to use the site, and asks you to perform two tasks.

Task 1 is to find the Saturday schedule for Science and Engineering (latest developments in the CIS), and the frequencies it is broadcast on, as well as take a look at the web site that is linked to.

Task 2 is to find the Saturday schedule for Spectrum (science and technology magazine), and the frequencies it is broadcast on, as well as take a look at the web site that is linked to.

You are free to look around the WWW Shortwave Listening Guide web site and try other things, just be sure to note both good and not-so-good things you find.
