Welcome to

Usability of Web-Based
Educational Activities

This Web Site is designed for educators who:

  • Are creating Web-Based Educational Activities for their classrooms and want to be sure usability factors do not get in the way of students effectively using the activity

  • Are using Web-Based Educational Activities created by others and want to evaluate the usability of those activities for possible use in their classrooms

However, creating web pages does not require a degree in web design. Programs to create web pages are fairly inexpensive, and anyone with internet access can easily become a web publisher. Unfortunately, a great deal of the web sites on the internet are created without much, if any, regard for how the people viewing them will actually USE them.
