When we look at our own lives we find that some of our most cherished moments have also been the simplest…staying home in our pajamas all day long, curling up on the couch to watch a great movie, cooking a delicious meal, game night with friends, holidays with our family, spontaneous dancing, uncontrollable laughter, tears of joy, ecstatic singing, a walk on the beach, building a tent out of the blankets on the bed, jumping into a huge pile of leaves, building a snowman, helping a friend, holding a hand…
We believe that our job as parents will be to share with our child these things and more. We will support the interests of our child whatever they may be. We eagerly anticipate attending soccer games or dance recitals…piano classes or science fairs. We plan on providing a number of opportunities for our child to discover what ultimately brings him or her the greatest joy! We will do our best to instill in him or her the value of love, friendship, honesty, acceptance, hard work, independence and spirituality. These may seem like simple things, but to us, they are what really count.
Again, thank you for allowing us the opportunity to share with you a little bit about who we are. We hope our words and pictures show you just how strong the bond is between the two of us, how ready we are to become a family through adoption and how much warmth and love we have to offer a child. We want you to know that we recognize what an incredible path you are taking. We cannot even imagine all that goes into deciding to place your child for adoption. We also recognize that this is a decision made with great courage, strength and especially love. We plan on sharing this always with the child who will become a part of our life.
We are open to pursuing an ongoing relationship with you through pictures, letters and visits to whatever extent you wish. We wish you all the best as you move forward on your journey.
