Fleeting Glimpse > Learn to Juggle > 5 Ball > Step 3

First, learn to hold five balls in your hands. To hold three balls, place one in your palm, and a second on your fingertips, held by your middle finger. Place the third ball between your thumb and index finger. The third ball will be the first one you throw. You may have to find smaller balls that fit your hand.

Handling 5 balls step3

Now, practice just one throw and catch. Place three balls in one hand and two in the other. Open your hold on the two balls to leave a space to catch a third between your thumb and fore finger. Toss the third ball - the one between your thumb and index finger, and catch it in your other hand, again between your thumb and index finger. This is difficult and will take much practice. Try to let the ball touch your fingers first, before it comes to rest next to the others. Soften the impact by letting your hand give a bit. And as before, in learning 3 ball juggling, take note of the basics and learn to throw well - try not to let the ball spin, note that you hand is in the proper position when you catch. Practice until you can catch and throw from both hands, and can do this when throwing the ball in a high path.
