In 2005, South Presbyterian Church purchased a small house located next to the church. Our dream was to create a comfortable and affordable place where out-of-towners could stay when they have a family member or friend being treated at one of the local hospitals. One year later, with the generous support of members and friends, our dream became a reality.
Rosemount House is located approximately two blocks from Strong Memorial Hospital.
The house can accommodate up to 6 people, and has two bedrooms, a full kitchen, separate dining room, cozy living room,
a spacious full bathroom with both shower and tub, and ceiling fans throughout.
Amenities include a washer and dryer, iron and ironing board, television, cd player and wireless internet access.
Phone service is limited to local calls.
The cost of staying at Rosemount House is $40 per night, or $250 for a week, and $225 per week after the first week.
In addition, we ask for a $100 key and damage deposit at the time of check-in. When the house is not in use by hospital
patients or their families, we welcome guests from local educational and charitable institutions. Except in unusual
circumstances, the maximum permitted stay is six weeks.
Important Note: Prospective guests should note that the house is not air-conditioned, and although all living space is
on one floor, the house is not yet handicap accessible. Entry to the house requires climbing three steps, and the laundry
facility is located in the basement.
