Over the years the Women of the ELCA at St Paul (Ladies Sewing Group) have donated hundreds of home made quilts to Appalachia Relief, local burnout victims, hurricane victims in Florida and New Orleans, Lutheran World Relief and the local Catholic Charities. The Ladies sewing group meet every 2nd Wednesday of the month to construct the quilts. All are welcome!

Here We Sew Again!

The ladies of St Paul, since the ‘40's, have taken on a labor of love by making quilts for Lutheran World Relief. Recently Lil Schultz found some records dating from January 1974. As of October 2007 the St Paul Sewing Ladies have made a total of 1,780 blankets!! (since records are not available prior to that year, the total is much higher! ( Way to go Ladies!!). On October 22nd 2008, several ladies met in the basement to finish up this year’s efforts. They boxed up 158 blankets, 14 health kits, 12 school kits, 13 pounds of soap and 13 pounds of material.

If anyone is interested to help with quilt assembly, no experience necessary, please feel free to join us the  2nd Wednesday of the month at 9:00 a.m.
Good time and fellowship will be had by all.    YOU  ALL  COME !!!!
