I rejoice in this opportunity to serve our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, by sharing in His life among you! Every place I go there are good people, children of God who long for the Word purely spoken and the Sacraments administered according to the gospel.

Let me introduce myself and my family. As many of you know, I am coming by myself. My wife, Royce, will remain in St. Joseph, IL where she works. We recently celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary! Being only an hour and a half away, there will be times Royce will come down and join us in worship.

Royce and I have three children .Our oldest is Sarah. Sarah has multiple, emotional handicaps and is living is a nursing facility in Bourbonnais, IL. She is our evangelist in the home, having no difficulty sharing her faith with staff and residents. Her ability to minister to the hurting is awesome!

Daniel is our next oldest and is a middle school teacher in Hannover Park, IL, living in Schaumburg. He is married to Amy, an elementary school teacher nearby Daniel’s school. They will be celebratingtheir first anniversary this December.

Benjamin is our youngest, and a student at Illinois State University where he will graduate this December (everything is happening in December!) with a bachelor’s in History

Trinity and St. Paul have a unique opportunity to learn how to work together for Jesus Christ. We have a window to learn how to use the strengths of both congregations. With long, wonderful histories undergirding this moment, we can learn how one plus one can actually equal three. We can do more together than we ever could individually.

What a thrill it is for me to share this moment with you! I promise to do my best to help you, and I ask for your promise too. We have a beautiful Savior, who is worthy of our labor.
