The Battle of St. Croix Falls has become legendary in the history of the Great Lakes Chippewa Indians. Led by Chief Waub-O-Jeeg (White Fisher), the Chippewa warriors defeated the Fox and Sioux at the Falls of the St. Croix in the late 1770s.
