Dance

Our brand new dance program is headed up by two area dance instructors that have a wide variety of experience and talent!! Our classes are geared to teach each participant the fundamentals of dance. Additional classes will be added in the Winter to accommodate intermediate & advanced dancers. Ballet Slippers and a leotard are recommended.

Lauren Doty is certified to teach by examination through Dance Masters of America and has been teaching for 25 years. She is currently on the board of directors for Chapter 17 of Dance Masters of America and continues to study dance through that organization. She has lived and taught dance in Jefferson County for 15 years. "Miss Lauren" believes that children respond best to a positive, enthusiastic approach to teaching and that learning should be fun!

Natosha Tillman holds a degree in Dance from Hollins University where she had the opportunity to sample dance from around the globe. She has traveled and studied abroad in Germany and Cannes, France at the International Dance Festival and Consortium on modern dance. After graduating from Hollins, Tillman moved to New York where she was part of the Ann Liv Young’s dance company. Tillman still performs and hopes to enter graduate school to obtain her masters

in dance.
