“STRIKE WARFARE IN THE 21st CENTURY”
An introductory explanation written for the average citizen.

AGM-53 Condor (never produced or deployed)
What is Strike Warfare?
Simply put, it is the attack of targets on the land or sea surface by weapons launched from aircraft, ships or submarines.
By that definition, strike warfare began a long time ago with simple weapons launched from sailing ships. Today we find a diverse array of complex weapon systems in use around the world, including those that are launched remotely from unmanned flying machines. This book puts both the operational usage of strike weapons and their development into clear perspective.

AGM-84H SLAM-ER and AGM-84A Harpoon
This is perhaps the first book to deal with this complex subject matter in everyday language. Topics that are often cloaked in secrecy or discussed using military-technical jargon are reduced to the fundamental level and explained in plain English.
