Classes emphasize the importance of strength, balance, and creativity in movement.

Stretch, Strengthen & Relaxation  Ages Adult Mondays

Stretching and strengthening techniques are explored for different muscle groups. Individual needs and problem solving for flexibility, strength and stress reduction

Location: First Baptist Church of Penfield, 1862 Penfield Road
Schedule: Mondays 7:00 - 8:30pm

Body Mind Balance  Ages Adult Tuesdays

To improve posture, body balance and reduce stress. Constructive rest, posture analysis, injury prevention techniques, nine lines of movement, right and left exploration, and ideokinesis.

Schedule: Tuesdays 5:35 - 6:55pm

Intermediate Modern Dance Technique   Ages Adult Tues or Thurs

Based on the Humphrey-Limon-Currier tradition of American Modern Dance. All modern classes include a barre done in center floor for strength and balance, stretching, and phrase work from particular dances.

Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays 7:00 - 8:30pm

World Dance  Intergenerational - Adults with their children Weds.

Explores modern and world dance forms. Beginners welcome. For early childhood teachers and those who want to focus on basics.

Yoga Dance   Ages Teen - Adult Thursdays

Technique and Improvisation. Yoga postures, mudras and visualizations will be part of each class. Movement sequences designed to enhance centering. How basic movement understanding and postural awarenss can make your dancing better, your skiing stronger, and even help with ease at the computer.

Classical Ballet   Ages Teen - Adult Fridays

Traditional ballet including barre, centerr floor work in adagio and allegro phrase work. Ballet terminology included.

Wellness through Movement  Ages Adult Fridays

A new course utilizing concepts for a lifetime of wellness. These include the Alexander Technique, Ideokinetic Facilitation, Constructive Rest and perceptual pathways to postural improvement.
