The Fulton Crest
Drawing of the Fulton Crest

Industrious labor and hard work seem to be characteristics of the Fultons and their crest exemplifies these attributes.

The Stag lodged on a mount regardant, resting, yet watchfully looking around. The legend states, “Things which we ourselves have done”, and the motto on the scroll means, “Rest is attained by labor”.

The Scotch Fulton Crest has been documented in the book Fairbairn’s Crests of the Families of Great Britain and Ireland by James Fairbairn on p. 194 and illustrated on Plate 51, crest 9.
