OBITUARY: "Bert June 1064 E. Shumacher, age 84, died Thursday, April 19, 1979 at McLaren General Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Monday, at the Redeemer Lutheran Church. Rev. Ronald C. Welsh officiating, Burial in Watertown Cemetery, Fostoria. Friends who desire may make contributions to the Lutheran Childrens Friends Society or the Teen Branch of Imlay City, or to the Memorial of their choice. Mr. June was born in Fostoria, July 11 1894, he was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church and of the VFW. He was a veteran of World War 1. He had been a fireman at Buick Motor Division, retiring in July 1962. Surviving are wife Helen; 3 sons, Adelbert A. June of Flint, Rev. LaVern R. Belamy of Holridge, Nebraska, and Terry (Tim) Doering of Flint; 1 daughter, Mrs. Albert (Marie) Skaggs of Racine, Wisconsin; 9 granddaughters; 4 grandsons; 4 great-dranddaughters; 5 great-grandsons; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters Ruth Duvernois and Lille Harris. Jr. June will be at the Hill Funeral Home, Grand Blanc, until 11AM Monday."
