Views from New Richmond

Here are three photos from New Richmond that we like.

New Richmond United Methodist Church

We are active in the New Richmond United Methodist Church, located at the corner of Arch and Second Streets in downtown New Richmond. Worship services are at 8:15 and 10:30 on Sundays, and Wednesday is Youth Night. The church is fortunate to have an old but rebuilt 17 rank pipe organ, which Jerri plays for services and special occasions.

When Comet Hale-Bopp was in the evening sky in March of 1997, our friend Craig Carlson was out in his back yard with his tripod and trusty camera. We think it is a neat picture.

Log Cabin at New Richmond Heritage Center

Demonstrations of traditional crafts are part of Heritage Days celebrated each September at the New Richmond Heritage Center, located on the south edge of the city. Several bushels of local apples were turned into fresh cider by a volunteer. This authentic 19th century log cabin was donated to the Heritage Center and is one of a number of buildings which preserve the history of the New Richmond area.
