ABOUT OUR PASTOR

Rev. Stephen Krenz was born and raised on a farm in North Central North Dakota.  He attended Concordia College, St. Paul, Minnesota where he graduated in 1990 with a mInor in History and Biblical Languages.  He then attended Concordia Semianry, St. Louis, MO, receving his Masters of Divinity Degree in 1994.  He then spent a year in chaplaincy training at what was then Deaconess Hospital and Laclede Groves retirement community.  Late in 1994 he met his future wife, Miss Lisa McLaughlin.  They were married on July 1st, 1995.  In July of 1995 he received a call to serve as the first full time pastor at Grace Lutheran Church in Holts Summit, MO.  He served in that location from 1995-2002.  He has served at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman, Illinois since April of 2002.  Pastor and Lisa Krenz have two children, Joel Thomas born February 25th, 1997 and Anna Grace born April 26th, 1999. Lisa currently teaches part time in the education department at Kaskaskia college.    Pastor Krenz is presently part of the Dr. of Ministry program at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, a program he hopes to complete in 2012.  His hobbies include running, and keeping up with the professional Minnesota athletic teams.
