The Dragon Railing
These images are of a stair railing I made shaped in the likeness of a dragon. It was created and installed for Cami and William Keane in their home on Cape Cod in the spring of 2002. The body is made of white oak, the two front legs are made of apple limbs from the orchard, one hind leg is ash, and the fourth leg is a wood as yet identified. The head is made from the same wood as the unknown leg. The feet are made of forged steel, five toes per foot. The tail is at the foot of the stairway and the head is up at the top of the stairs looking over the edge of the balcony to the right into the room below.
Church Railing
Another major project I've done in recent years is a metal railing installed in a church in Chili, NY. Here is a photo of it.
