Little Wolves
Swedish Vallhunds have often been noted for their Wolf-like qualities. Bonnie Benneker of Holland, author of De Vastgotaspets, has defined those similarities in appearance and behavior. The Vallhund is keenly alert to their surroundings, only taking light catnaps. They have a large skull and teeth for their size and have the same oval shaped paw print. (unlike an ordinary dog's that is round) They too revel in the wild, the out-of-doors, and run with abandonment and joy in their natural habitat. Here are a few photos of my "little Wolves," taken of them basking in their own woodsy element.
