TRUMAN DAYS

Truman Days weekend is scheduled for Friday-Sunday, July 23-25, 2010. This community summer festival is enjoyed by all ages. Plan to attend.

FILING PERIOD FOR CITY COUNCIL SEATS

The filing period for residents interested in running for the city council positions is open from August 3 - 17. You can file at City Hall, 101 East Ciro Street in Truman Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. There is a $2 filing fee. The positions up for election are the Mayor (2-year term) and two (2) City Council seats (4-year terms). If you have any questions, contact City Clerk Monte Rohman at 507-776-7951.

• Truman City Council meetings are held twice a month. The first Monday of the month at 7:30 p.m. and the second Monday of the month at 5:00 p.m.

•Truman Community Club meetings are held the third Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the Truman Community Building. Everyone is welcomed to attend.
