N'kadesh et Shimkha ba'olam, We shall sanctify Your Name in this world,
k'shem shemakdishim oto bishmei marom, just as they sanctify it in heaven above,

v'kara zeh el zeh v'amar: And one will call another and say:
Kadosh, Kadosh, Kadosh Holy, Holy, Holy,

TESHUVAH - Repentance
Hashivenu Avinu l'Toratekha Bring us back, our Father, to Your Torah
v'karvenu Malkenu la'avodatekha and bring us near, our King, to Your service,
v'hachazirenu bitshuvah sh'lemah l'fanekha and influence us to return in pefect repentance before You.

SELICHAH - Forgiveness
S'lach lanu, Avinu, ki chata'nu Forgive us, our Father, for we have erred;
m'chal lanu malkenu ki fasha'nu Pardon us, for we have willfully sinned;
ki mochel v'sholeach atah. for you pardon and forgive.

Chanun hamarbeh lisloach the Gracious One who pardons abundantly.

GE'OLAH - Redemption
R'eh v'anyenu Behold our affliction
v'rivah rivenu, take up our grievance,
ug'alenu m'herah l'ma'an sh'mekha and redeem us speedily for Your Name's sake,
Ki go'el chazak atah For You are a powerful redeemer.

R'fa'enu YHVH v'nerafe Heal us, YHVH - then we will be healed;

v'ha'aleh r'fu'ah sh'lemah l'khol makoteynu Bring complete recovery for all our ailments,

v'kabtzenu yachad me'arba ha'aretz. and gather us together from the four corners of the earth.

DIN - Justice
Hashivah shofteynu b'vari'shonah Restore our judges as in earliest times,
v'yo'atzeynu b'vatchillah and our counselors as at first;
v'haser mimenu yagon va'anachah Remove from us sorrow and groaning;
umalokh aleynu atah YHVH l'vad'kha b'chesed uvrachamin and reign over us, You, YHVH, alone - with kindness and compassion,
v'tzadkenu b'mishpat and justify us through judgement.

On the righteous, on the devout, on the elders of Your people the House of Yisra'el

v'al gerey hatzedek v'aleynu, On the righteous converts and on ourselves,
yehemu rachameykha YHVH Eloheynu may Your compassion be aroused, YHVH our Elohim,
v'ten sakhar tov l'kol habotchim b'shimkha be'emet, and give goodly reward to all who sincerely believe in Your Name.
v'sim chelkenu imahem l'olam, Put our lot with them forever,
v'lo nevosh ki v'kha batachnu. and will will not feel ashamed, for we trust in You.

BINYAN YERUSHALIYIM

uvneh otah b'karov b'yameynu binyan olam. May you rebuild it soon in our days as an eternal structure,

It is You, the Elohim,

Hatrifeni lechem chuki, Provide me with my allotment of bread
v'hamtze li ulkhol b'nei beyti and bring forth for me and all memebers of my household,
m'zonoti korem she'etztarekh lahem, my food before I have need for it,
b'nachat v'lo b'tza'ar in contentment, but not in pain,
b'heter v'lo b'isur in permissible but not in forbidden manner,
b'khavod v'lo b'vizayon, for honor but not in disgrace,
l'chayim ulshalom, for life and for peace;
mishefa b'rakhah v'hatzlachah from the flow of blessing and success,
umishefa b'rekhah elyonah and from the flow of the heavenly spring,
k'dey she'ukhol la'asot ratzonekha so that I be enabled to do Your will,
ula'asok b'Toratekha ulkayem mitzvoteykha. and engage in Your Torah and fulfill Your commandments.
V'el tatzrikheni lidey matnat basar vadam. Make me not needful of people's largesse.
vikuyam li mikra shekatuv: And may there be fulfilled in me the verse that states:
Hashlekh al YHVH y'hav'kha Cast your burden upon YHVH,
v'hu y'khalk'lekha And He will support you.

Ki atah shome'a t'fillat am'kha Yisra'el b'rachamin.

For You hear the prayer of Your people Yisra'el with compassion

AVODAH - Temple Service
R'tzeh YHVH Eloheynu Be favorable, YHVH, Our Elohim,
b'am'kha Yisra'el uvitfillatam, toward Your people Yisra'el and their prayer,
v'hashev et ha'avodah lidvir beytekha and restore the service to the Holy of Holies of Your Temple.
v'ishey Yisra'el utfillatam b'ahavah t'kabel b'ratzon The fire-offerings of Yisra'el and their prayer accept with love and favor,
ut'hi l'ratzon tamid avodah Yisra'el amekha and may the service of Your people Yisra'el always be favorable to You.

sha'atah hu YHVH Eloheynu vElohey avoteynu le'olam va'ed. for it is You Who are YHVH our Elohim and the Elohim of our forefathers for all eternity.
Tzur chayenu, Rock of our lives,
Magen yis'enu atah hu l'dor v'dor. Shield of our salvation from generation to generation.
Nodeh l'cha unsaper t'hillatekha We shall thank You and relate Your praise
al chayenu ham'surim b'yadekha for our lives, which are commited to Your power,
v'al nishmotekha hap'kudot lach, for our souls that are entrusted to You;
v'al niseykha sheb'khol yom imanu for Your miracles that ar with us every day;
v'al nifle'oteykha v'tovoteykha sheb'khol et, and for Your wonders and favors in every season,
erev vavoker v'tzaharayim. evening, morning and afternoon.
haTov ki lo khalu rachameykha The Beneficent One, for Your compassions were never exhausted,

v'te'esof galuyoteynu l'chatzrot kadshekha and gather our exiles to the Courtyards of Your Sanctuary,
lishmor chukeykha v'la'asot r'tzonekha to observe Your decrees, and to Your will,

b'she'amdah malchut Yavan har'sha'ah al am'kha Yisra'el when the wicked Greek kingdom rose up against Your people Yisra'el
l'hashkicham Toratekha to make them forget Your Torah,
ulha'aviram mechukey r'tzonekha. and compel them to stary from the statutes of Your Will.
V'atah b'rachameykha harabim You in Your great mercy
amadta lahem b'et tzaratam, stood up for them in the time of their distress,
ravta et rivam You took up their grievance,
danta et dinah, judged their claim,
nakamta et nikmatam. and avenged their wrong.
Masarta giborim b'yad chalashim, You delivered the strong into the hands of the weak,
v'ravim b'yad m'asim, the many into the hands of the few,
ut'me'im b'yad t'chorim, the impure into the hands of the pure,
ursha'im b'yad tzadikim, the wicked into the hands of righteous,
v'zedim b'yad os'dey toratekha. andthe wanton into the hands of diligent students of Your Torah.
ul'kha asita shem gadol v'kadosh b'olamekha, For Yourself You made a greate and holy Name in Your world,
ul'am'kha Yisra'el asita t'shu'ah g'dolam ufurkan k'hayom hazeh. and for Your people Yisra'el you worked a great victory and salvation as this very day.
V'achar ken ba'u vaneykha lidvir beytekha Therefore Your children came to the Holy of Holies of Your Temple,
ufinu et heykhalekha, cleansed Your Temple,
v'tiharu et mikdashekha, purified the site of Your Holiness,
v'hidliku nerot b'chatzrot kadshekha and kindled lights in the Courtyards of Your Sanctuary;
v'kav'u sh'monah y'mey Chanukah elu, and they established these eight days of Chanukah,
l'hodot ulhalel l'shimkha hagadol. to express thanks and praise to Your great Name.
On Purim:
Bimey Mordekhai v'Ester b'Shushan hakirah, In the days of Mordechai and Ester, in Shushan the capital,
k'she'amar aleyhem Haman harasha' when Haman, the wicked, rose up against them,
bikesh l'hashmid laharog ulabed et kol haY'hudim. and sought to destroy, to slay and to exterminate all the Jews,
mina'ar v'ad zaken, yound and old,
taf v'nashim b'yom echad, infants and women, on the same day,
bishloshah asar l'chodesh sh'neym asar, on the thirteenth of the twelve month,
hu chodesh Adar, which is the month of Adar,
ushlalam lavoz. and to plunder their possessions.
V'atah b'rachameykha harabim hefarta et atzato, But You, in Your abundant mercy nullified his counsel,
v'kilkalta et machashavto and frustrated his intentions
vahashevota lo g'molo b'rosho and caused his design to return upon his own head
v'talu oto v'et banayv al ha'etz. and they hanged him and his sons on the gallows.

V'al kulam yitbarakh v'yitromam shimkha,

For all these, may Your Name be blessed and exalted,
Malkhenu tamid l'olam va'ed. our King, continually forever and ever.

The chazzan recites the Birkat Kohanim (Priestly Blessing), except in a house of morning:
Eloheynu vElohey avoteynu Our Elohim and the Elohim of our forefathers,
barkhenu vab'rakah ham'shuleshet, bless us with the three verse blessing,
b'Torah hak'tuvah al y'dey Moshe avdekha in the Torah that was written by the hand of Moshe Your servant,
ha'amorah mipi Aharon uvanayv, that was said by Aharon and his sons,
kohanim Am k'doshekha, ka'amur: the Kohanim, Your holy people, as it is said:
Y'varekhekha YHVH v'yishmerekha May YHVH bless you and safeguard you.
Congregation: Ken y'hi ratzon. So may it be.
Ya'er YHVH panayv eleykha vichunekha May YHVH illuminate His countenance for you, and be gracious to you.
Congregation: Ken y'hi ratzon. So may it be.
Yisa YHVH panayv eleykha v'yasem lekha shalom. May YHVH turn His countenance to you, and establish peace for you.

Sim Shalom - Establish Peace
Sim Shalom, tovah, uvrakhah, chen, vachesed v'rachamim aleynu Establish peace, goodness, blessing, graciousness, kindness, and compassion upon us,
v'al kol Yisra'el amekha. and upon all of Your people Yisra'el.
Barkhenu Avinu, kulanu k'echad b'or paneykha Bless us, our Father, all of us as one with the light of Your countenance.
ki v'or paneykha natata lanu For with the light of Your countenance, You gave us,
YHVH Eloheynu, YHVH our Elohim,
Torah haChayim v'ahavah chesed, the Torah of Life and a love for kindness,
utzdakah, uvrakha v'rachamim v'chayim, v'shalom. righteousness, blessing, compassion, life, and peace.
V'tov b'eyneykha l'barekh et am'kha Yisra'el, And may it be good in Your eyes to bless Your people Yisra'el,
b'khol et ubkhol sha'ah b'shalomekha. in every season and in every hour with Your peace.
**Barukh atah YHVH ham'barekh et amo Yisra'el b'shalom. **Blessed are you, YHVH, Who blesses His people Yisra'el with peace.

B'Sefer Chayim b'rakhah v'shalom, ufarnasah tovah, In the Book of Life, blessing and peace, good livelihood,
nizaker v'nikatev l'paneykha, may be remembered and inscribed before You,
anachnu v'khol am'kha beyt Yisra'el we and Your entire people the House of Yisra'el,
l'chayim tovim ulshalom. for a good life and for peace.

Elohay, n'tzor l'shoni mera'

My Elohim, guard my tongue from evil,
ushfanay midaber mirmah, and my lips from speaking deceitfully.
v'limkalelay nafshi tidom, To those who curse me, let my soul be silent;
v'nafshi ke'afar lakol tihyeh. and let my soul be like dust to everyone.
P'tach libi b'Toratekha Open my heart to Your Torah,
uvmitzvotekha tirdof nafshi. then my sould will pursue Your commandments.
V'khol hachoshvim alay ra'ah, As for all those who design evail against me,
m'herah hafer atzatam v'kalkem machashavtam. speedily nullify their counsel and disrupt their design.
Aseh l'ma'an shimkha, Act for Your Name's sake;
Aseh l'ma'an y'minekha Act for Your right hand's sake;
Aseh l'ma'an k'dushatekha; Act for Your sanctity's sake;
Aseh l'ma'an Toratekha Act for Your Torah's sake.
L'ma'an yechaletzun y'dideykha That Your beloved one may be given rest;
hoshi'ah y'min'kha va'aneni. Let Your right hand save, and respond to me.
   
Yihyu l'ratzon imrey fi v'hegyon libi l'faneyka, May the expression of my mouth, and the thoughts of my heart
YHVH Tzuri v'go'ali YHVH my Rock and my Redeemer.
   
Oseh shalom bimromayv, He Who makes peace in His heights,
hu ya'aseh shalom aleynu may He make peace upon us,
v'al kol Yisra'el and upon all Yisr'ael.

Y'hi razton milefaneykha, YHVH Eloheynu vElohey avoteynu May it be Your will, YHVH our Elohim and the Elohim of our forefathers,
sheyibaneh Beyt haMikdash b'yameynu; that the Holy Temple be rebuilt, speedily in our days;
v'ten chelkenu Toratekha Grant us a share in Your Torah.
V'sham na'avadkha b'yir'ah, And may we serve You there with reverence,
bimey olam uvshanim kadmoniyot. as in days of old and former years.
v'orvah l'YHVH minchat Y'hudah virushalayim, Then the offering of Yehudah and Yerushalayim will be pleasing to YHVH,
