I am a FURRY. I've been one for a long time, but I did not know there was a name for it or that there were others like me. To find out what FURRY is go here:
I have been involved with the FURRY fandom since Feb, 2005 when I attended my first FURRY convention, Furry Weekend Atlanta:
I go by the name TILT because I collect and restore vintage pinball machines.

I have been very fortunate to make a career out of wearing fur. I've been  a "professional" character/mascot performer for almost 15 years and I am ready to go another 20 years! To take a look at some of the many characters I've played over the years go HERE
My Fursona
I have made my "fursona" a cheetah. His name is Wilson T. Longtail. I do not think I really am a cheetah. I just like spottycats, that's all.
Just WHO is Wilson T. Longtail??
Well, I created him as the ultimate character. I had this idea even before I found the furry fandom. He is a cheetah inspired by Chester Cheetah and Marsupilami. I like spots and stripes and bright colors. I like BIG PAWZ and long springy tails and floofy hair. All that helps a fursuit seem alive. The shades help him look "cool" and the Hawaiian shirt sez "Party animal!"
Wilson is for The Beach Boys, Carl, Dennis and Brian. They are my favorite band 'cause their music is all about fun, fun, fun and sunshine and the eazy livin' of 1960's California. (never been there) Middle initial T. for TILT, (that's me) and when I first showed pix of him, friends said, "wow, what a long tail!" There ya go! Wilson T. Longtail!
How I found FURRY
Ever since the late 80's, I have been absolutely crazy about cartoons, mascots, and costume characters. In 1992 I got my first job as a character at Universal Studios Florida. In 1999 I started to build character costumes for Halloween. In 2002 I built a Chester Cheetah costume. I went to Pointe Orlando with some friends for a Halloween party. There I met Latin Vixen and Draconis. Afterwards I was telling a friend about them and he said,
"They weren't FURRIES, were they?"
"Yeah, Ya know the one girl did say she was a FURRY, what is that?"
"OMG those people are sickos, stay away from them!! Do you know what they do??? I saw them on TV and they...(etc, etc.)"
Another friend had a similar negative reaction when I mentioned I had met some FURRIES.
I took my friend's advice and STAYED AWAY as I thought it was some kinky internet animal sexual fetish group, nothing more. (of course, that is incorrect.)I did not have a computer at the time, so had no way to research it.
Fast foreward to Spring of 2004. I got my very first computer and had Latin Vixen's card all this time. ANTHROPOMORPHIC???? FURSUITER??? What's THAT??
I clicked on her site ( www.mixedcandy.com ) and my jaw hit the floor! I spent the entire summer visiting all the links. And those links, and those links. Megaplex! Anthrocon! Furbid! The Fox Den!
Critters by the Bay!etc etc. I felt like Jack Skellington the first time he saw Christmastown! WHAT'S THIS? WHAT'S THIS? There are others like me! People who like to dress up as animals! There is a great big furry world out there!!!!!!! I decided to build a FURSUIT (Wilson T. Longtail) and go to one of these furry cons!! I met WILDWOLF online and he was nice enough to invite me to his Halloween party to meet some local furs face to face. They were not scary at all!! My friends had it all wrong!!! They tried to scare me but it didn't work!!! I went to FWA2005 and had an ABSOLUTE BLAST!!! I met so many nice furs and made a lot of furiends and had so much FUN!!! FURRY means so much to me and IT HAS CHANGED MY LIFE!
So it all started with LatinVixen and Draconis. And Wildwolf reeled me in. You have them to blame.
