Dockside switcher continuation. More pictures and text as I progress with this project. I hope I have the gear problem solved

December 17, 2011

Modified the transfer yard. Made the standard gauge siding larger by moving the switch toward the station. Added a three (3) way switch to the On30 yard to increase storage trackage to 2.

Added another project to the "Old Project" page.

November 3, 2011

Added a page for projects that I started way before I had a computer. Now that I have a nice little shop to better work on these long forgotten projects I plan on working on them again. There are 2 right now and may grow as time goes on. The first two are of an RS-1325 EMD road switcher and the second is of an article written up in Model Railroader many years ago, a 5 car Zephyr train. You'll find the page in the Contents page listed as "Old Projects".

October 24, 2011

I've updated a few more pages to reflect some newer pictures in the On30 page, plus updated my thoughts on the layout concept. That may change as time marches on.

October 22, 2011

It's been a real long time since I've done anything with this web site, six years to be exact. I'm updating it to reflect my change in taste for model Railroading. The large "fill" the basement layout I had in mind won't happen. I discovered that it would to large to build and would take a lot of maintenance to keep it up. I'm going with the concept of small is better. Much more detail can be incorporated into a small and manageable railroad.

The area were the Otter Creek Falls railroad is going to be is taking shape. Also the Ford stake body truck has lost it's cable car drive and will have a NWSL Flea installed. I'm also in the process of designing a few other things for the OCF RR. It's to early to talk about those projects yet since they are still on the drawing board.

August 19, 2005

The Otter Creek Falls Railroad has acquired a 1934 Stake body truck. Check it out on the On30 page.

August 4, 2005

Not much has happened in the railroading department this summer except that the On30 bug has bitten me, and hard I might add. I've started to design some modules and began building one section, 2 feet by 4 feet. Have acquired several pieces of motive power. Eventually I'll post some pictures of the start of this adventure. So stay tuned and drop in every once in a while. I might actually have something accomplished.

March 29, 2005

It's been a while since I've updated this web site. It will be 2 years and 4 months since we moved into the house I call the "Station". If your interested in the construction of the station take a look here at "The Station".   (use your back button to get back here)

In the last several weeks the On30 bug has been biting me.
