Display of O scale and On30 rolling stock.
I'm going to try and show the rolling stock I have and what I've done to it to modify to fit my theme.
While on a trip to Pennsylvania for an auction we stopped at a restaurant for dinner. After dinner we browsed the gift shop. I came across an old Ford stake truck from 1934. It looked about right for O scale so I bought it. I removed the wheels and added the trucks from a Bachmann San Francisco cable car. The motor fits nicely under the stake bed. But since I discovered Proto48 I need to think about a different power module. I'd also like to change the stake body to an enclosed body. I even thought about stretching the back part to make it longer. Also I'm leaning toward Proto48 since I'm going to go with a track width of 1.177", a true 4'8.5" track width.
