Sit Down and Stand Up! - The Prelude to the Tumble Turn

As you get comfortable footing down the lake, you'll have the urge to do something else besides crossing the wake. Now would be a good time to practice sitting down and standing back up.

  1. Keeping your knees in the normal bent barefooting position, slowly sit down on the water. You can rock back until you're riding on the small of your back.

  2. Using the pull of the boat, slowly rock forward and place your heels gently on the water (similar to the deep water start) and stand up!

This trick is the prelude to a tumble turn.
