Campus Ministry

This week's schedule at St. Jude Chapel: Tuesday 2/2 - 12:30  lunch in CDH at ASC join us. Wednesday 2/3- 5:30 student leadership dinner meeting ( in lounge) Saturday 2/6  - Help feed the hungry at the  Soup kitchen in Wellsville. Meet at St. Jude at noon and we will drive to wellsville to prepare and serve lunch and return around 3:30. Please let me know if you can make it or want more details. Sunday 2/7 - 11 am mass and yes there IS a 6:30 mass this week Super bowl party - come down and watch the game on our new flat screen, you can bring a dish to pass if you wish but there will be plenty of food. You can come and go as you want (especially if your rooting for the Colts. Saints fans can stay. ___________________________________________________________  Upcoming events Ash Wednesday - February 17 begins the lenten season  we will have 2 masses at St. Jude that day at Noon and 6:30 pm We will be forming Lenten small groups. If you wish to be in one, please let Chris know soon. On Thursday February 11 join with the Respect Life committee as they write letters of protest to companies on the "Boycott List"(put together by Life Decisions International) these corporations who sponsor abortion agencies, 7 pm in the lower lounge. Corning Museum of  Glass - in nearby Corning NY on Saturday February 13 at 11:30 meet at St. Jude. Surprised by how few students have ever been to Corning  we will take a drive to the Corning Museum of Glass it is the world's largest glass museum, featuring 35 centuries of glass artistry, live glassblowing demonstrations and much more http://www.cmog.org/ <http://www.cmog.org/> Contact Chris if you are interested in going so we can arrange transportation.

St. Jude parish is the home of Catholic Campus Ministry in Alfred. We are here to serve the Catholic community on the campuses of Alfred State College, and Alfred University. Here at St.Jude we offer opportunities for prayer, education, spiritual and pastoral counseling, social activities, music, faith sharing, social outreach and much more. The St. Jude Center is located right across the street from the Main Attraction on Alfred State’s Campus on Lower College Drive. You are welcome to stop by anytime; to pray, for a quiet place to study in the lounge, to enjoy the big screen TV or if you just want someone to talk with. We hope to see you and bring a friend.

Regular Schedule

Events	Tuesday - 4:30 rosary, 5 pm mass followed by homemade soup suppers and guest speakers Wednesay - 5:30 student leadership dinner / meetings                     7 pm - small groups- faith sharing Community Service twice a month - serve at the Wellsville Soup Kitchen              Ministery with the elderly at McCauley Manor (October 15, November 19 and December 3) Saturdays- social events and trips (check the weekly schedule) Sunday - choir practice 6:15 pm (new members always welcome)                Bible Study   7:30 pm Respect Life group has monthly meetings and events * New students are always welcome to attend any and all events!
Masses	St. Judes Chapel Sunday 11:00 am Sunday 6:30 pm
Other Gatherings	Social justice/ community service events - twice a month (still scheduling these) Social events - at least twice per month.
