Our Pastor
Rev. Allen Schwarz is Pastor at St. John's Lutheran Church. He is a West Virginia native, born in Charleston and was a frequent visitor of the Davis-Thomas-Canaan Valley area prior to receiving the call to St. John's. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech (which leads to no small "debate" during football season.) He received his seminary training at Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia. He has worked with churches in Pennsylvania and New York prior to receiving his first official call to be pastor at St. John's.
