Radiology
X-rays allow us to look at the "inside" of your pet. We can see bones and internal organs like the liver, heart, and lungs. We use x-rays for a variety of different reasons. Common reasons include the following: 1. If your pet is vomiting we can take an x-ray to check for an obstruction. 2. If your pet is limping we can check for fractures or arthritis. For our breeding dog clients, we can take hip or elbow x-rays to have them certified with the OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals). We can also take dental x-rays of teeth that are chipped, discolored, or have large pockets in the gum surrounding the tooth. Taking an x-ray of the tooth can help us determine if it needs to be extracted. X-rays are a valuable tool for diagnosing a variety of diseases. We are pleased to offer high quality radiology services.
