This was a fun, very enjoyable trip.
I threw the top box on the ST, loaded the bags and headed for the coast.
On a motorcycle, it's not where you're going, it's how you get there.

1402 miles round trip, apx. 9.5 hrs to get back
43 degrees low temp, 68 degrees high temp.
Travel time is riding time including stops for food and fuel.
The max speed was obtained in the desert.
We left Friday around noon and arrived in Santa Maria around 6:00pm.
We spent the night in Santa Maria and left for Las Vegas around 8:00am Saturday morning.

The weather was very nice on Hwy 1 and the traffic was light enough to have some fun.
Saturday morning on our way to Las Vegas.
Hwy 33, 4600 ft.
We took Hwy 166 out of the Santa Maria area. It's more high speed with sweepers.
We then took Hwy 33 and 150. There were some high speed stretches on the way to the good stuff.
We had fun scraping the pegs in back to back turns. On our way out, we saw a bunch of locals heading up to go play.
It was all super slab after that. A bit boring at times but we did have a 95mph run for about an hour on I-15.

We noticed some black ice where the sun doesn't hit.

It wound up raining Sunday all day and night.
Monday.
It even snowed quite a bit. The snow level got low too.
