We left Friday morning and returned on Monday afternoon.
Trip statistics:
Apx. 1125 miles averaging almost 46 mpg
Temperature low was 43 degrees F. (In Oregon)
Temperature high was 96 degrees F. (Sacramento on the way home)
We mapped out our trip the day before we left. We checked the weather forecast too.
We expected to get rained on in Oregon so we tarped our camping gear.
The weather was dry and beautiful the entire trip although a little brisk in the mornings and breezy around Crater Lake at times.
We camped in a log cabin about 30 miles south of Crater Lake. It had no water, no electricity and no heat.
We did some hiking around the lake and to the waterfalls, about 6 miles total.
The water of Crater Lake is sooooo incredibly blue.
