The 9th annual

Stewart State Forest Bike Tour

On Sunday, June 8th, 2008, SPARC is hosting the 9th annual Stewart State Forest Bike Tour. This will be a day when mountain bike enthusiasts from beginner to advanced can join together for fun, exercise and lunch.

There are three entry classes: Beginner/Family–9 miles; Intermediate/Experienced–16 miles; Advanced/Experienced–18 miles.

These roads have not been maintained in over 30 years and are not suitable for road bikes. Hybrid or BMX style bikes are needed for these roads. The 16 and 18 mile courses are on roads and rugged paths and require mountain bikes.

Lunch is included and those who pre-register will receive free T-shirts. Trail maps will be provided.

The Stewart State Forest are a self-contained public open space area (7,000 acres) with numerous country roads and beautiful vistas, all closed to road traffic, perfect for the whole family. It is a gem for off-road biking and listed in many biking publications.

If you haven’t experienced the Stewart State Forest, now is the time. Join the thousands of bikers who have been heading to this special site for years.
