A little about Scott Anderson
Since 1995, Scott has been volunteering at Antietam National Battlefield as a Research Librarian/Historian. He has handled specific scholastic and genealogical requests pertaining to the Civil War and Antietam. The requests range from Time-Life representatives seeking statistical data to park visitors inquiring about relatives that fought in the war. He further develops these inquires by using detailed research obtained at the National Archives and Archives II. And as if that doesn't keep him busy, he also provides battlefield tours, interpretations, and lectures based upon his research.
Apart from the work at the battlefield, Mr. Anderson also provides historical research to interested patrons. He dissects and presents the information gathered at the National Archives and Archives II on behalf of patrons needing in depth historical research dating from 1800 - 1950. The data is compiled from civil war pension, military, prison, and civilian records at the National Archives and WWII record research groups on all branches of the armed service involving campaigns, tactical operations, and units at Archives II
