This "poem" is the Teonaht version of a well-known poem by a well-known author. Translate it into your own conlang and let me know if you have guessed the original text and author! Remember that Teonaht is largely OSV or SOV, that adjectives follow nouns, and that tense and aspect information prefix the pronoun; I haven't given interlinear grammatical designations because I think the syntax is fairly straightforward, and the glossary, to the side, is comprehensive.
