*He. This seems to be an archaic form of the ungendered animate (a little more lively than ai, "it"). Early Teonaht had not yet developed the habitual in om.
**Vumelhea. The infixed first person singular possessive pronoun. In un-my-country.
***mimahlom is modified by lid vungya (floors of hell), which, true to form in Old Teonaht poetry, is delayed to produced a kind of tmesis common in Welsh and Scandinavian poetry.
****Fodra. I have no entry for this verb, but surmise that it means "grasp," since it seems to be related to fodyr, "claw." But we already have grendo, "grasp," and it is unclear how the floors of hell "grasp" the earth subterraneanly, unless it means by freezing them. The Teonaht concept of hell was as a frozen wasteland.
*****Morafy, joa. I cannot find the meanings of these words. Sendl Brykkabuo's translation suggests that it means to make one melted, to melt.
