Our History
Salem Mennonite Church began on September 16, 1953, when six couples came from the Lockport Mennonite Church (Stryker, OH) to begin church services in a building that was being closed by the Evangelical United Brethren Church. The church building was purchased by the Ohio Conference of the Mennonite Church in August, 1957.
As the church grew, the building was remodeled and enlarged. Salem Mennonite Church has continued to grow, attracting members from communities around the church building.
Currently there are over 70 active members in the congregation with an average Sunday morning attendance of about 100 adults and children. |
