Now this was a truly remarkable find. For a very few bucks this thing made my TG100 look like a toy. It's a Waveblaster daughterboard that implements the Yamaha XG GM voice set - and it even supports 2 element QS300 voices!. And if your soundcard doesn't have a Waveblaster connector, not to fret - Elector published an article a few years back describing an external adapter for Waveblaster cards. From personal experience I can tell you that mounting the DB50XG on this external adapter is sonically superior than having it installed on a Soundblaster 16. Let's face it - the Soundblaster 16 was a workhorse in it's day - but it's day has passed.
