Recital 2003

On June 2,2003 twenty-nine talented piano students performed for family members and friends at the annual Spring Piano Recital. The recital was held in the Cashman Conference Center at the WITC campus in New Richmond. Composers represented this year included Schumann, Debussy, Bach, and Chopin. After the presentation of awards, we had a chance to visit and enjoy refreshments with many parents, grandparents and relieved students.

The background music is Oriental from Granados Danzas Espanolas. It is a MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) file. MIDI files are tiny compared to MP3 files so you can download them even even with a slow Internet connection. For example, this file of Danzas Expanolas is only 20 KB.

There are thousands of sites with MIDI music files on the web. The Lutheran Hymnal site has 5 complete hymnals on line with music in MP3 and MIDI formats.
