Working at the Food Tent

The Food Tent featured ethnic and historical foods such as Irish potato soup, German bratwurst and Paperjack pasties along with Heritage Hot Dogs and cookies like grandma used to make. It takes a lot of hardworking people to make a food tent successful. Here are some of them at Heritage Days 1998.

Stephanie Jameson led the kitchen crew for much of the day. Notice the wood stove, antique kitchen utensils and accessories in the Bell Farmstead kitchen. There is a modern kitchen used today for food preparation.

Even Food Tent volunteers need a chance to look around. Marilyn McCarty was visiting the exhibits during her break. In the background is Camp Nine School.
