Meet Mrs. B...

Hello. My name is Christine (the kids call me Mrs. B) and I'm the primary child care provider and teacher here at Precious Kids Day Care. I've been a stay-at-home Mom since our first child was born in 1992. I home schooled our 2 children for 7 years, from preschool through 6th grade. The kids learned a ton, but I think I learned more than they did! I developed so many child care skills and the patience necessary to teach young children. I knew I wanted to continue to work with young children after our kids began going to school.

Why Child Care as a Career Choice?

I consider myself a professional child care provider, not a babysitter. There are several reasons why I chose to be a child care provider after our children began attending school away from home. Josh and Sarah are now attending a private school, so we found ourselves in need of extra income in order to pay for their tuition as well as everything else involved with going to school. I also found myself missing having little ones around. I have always enjoyed teaching and loving on little ones. So, after praying about what I should do, my husband and I decided to open a day care in our home.

In order to set up and maintain a I always try to keep these 2 questions in mind when making decisions about the day care: "Will this honor God?" and "Would I want this for my own children if they attended this day care?" If the answer to both is "Yes", then I have my decision.

My Qualifications & Credentials

Precious Kids Day Care is a family day care registered (licensed) through the state of New York. My name is Christine, but the kiddos call me Mrs. B.

I strive to provide the highest quality child care and I love to keep learning to continually improve myself and our day care experiences. Since becoming a registered provider in 2005, I have taken many courses equaling over 90 clock hours of Early Childhood Development training.

I continue to attend classes regularly not only to stay up-to-date on my registration requirements but also (and most importantly) to become the best child care provider I can be.

My Experience

Now get to know the rest of my wonderful family...

We are a close, loving, born again Christian family.

God comes first to us and He blesses our family in so many ways. It's a JOY to serve such a good God.

Meet Mr. B...

My husband Vincent and I have been married since 1990. Vincent works full-time and sometimes helps out as a substitute caregiver when we need him. He's a very handy man, always fixing or upgrading things around here. He even installed all of the siding on our house all by himself! He works hard to keep our home (and day care) safe and comfy and we really appreciate that. Kids just LOVE him! (and they LOVE to use him as a jungle gym!) :O)

Meet Our Wonderful Substitute Child Care Providers...

These are two fantastic ladies who are available to step in when we need them! Thanks Moms!!!

These are my fabulous parents, Marilyn and Jim. My Mom, Marilyn, is sometimes my back-up for when I'm not feeling well or I need to take one of our kiddos to an appointment or something. She often accompanies us on field trips and comes by just to get to know the kids better. Due to all the regulations for being licensed, she needed to get fingerprinted and background checked before she could be approved as my substitute. (So not necessary with her, but they don't know my Mommy, so they have to check.) She is the most loving person I know. And I'm not biased at all! ;)

These are my awesome parents-in-law, Marie and Luigi. Marie also helps us as a substitute child care provider. She had to go through the same fingerprinting and background check (again, just a formality, she is wonderful & I'm blessed to have her as my Mommy-in-Law!). She is also great with kids and I trust her as much as I would my own Mom.
