EDGEWOOD GARAGE OWNER DIES

EDGEWOOD - Ermine M. Wilson, 73, of Edgewood died at 8:50 p.m. in Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia.

Mr. Wilson owned and operated a garage and welding shop in Edgewood for 45 years, and was an oil pumper for Self Oil Co. and served on the Edgewood Volunteer Fire Department.

Mr. Wilson was born in Edgewood, son of Charles W. and Leota Brown Wilson. He married Pearl Stewart in 1934 and she died in 1960. He married Dorothy Cox in 1962 and she survives.

Surviving are his daughter, Laquetta Sapp of Edgewood; stepsons, Kenneth Cox of Farina; Richard Cox of Mason; Gene and John both of Edgewood; stepdaughters, Vera Roedl of Mason; Joan Cox of Edgewood; Mary Doedtman of Effingham; Janet Burgess of Edgewood; sisters, Frieda Durre of Flora; Ellen Durre of Decatur; Corliss Byers of Edgewood,

Charlotte Linkous of Quincy; two grandchildren; nineteen step grandchildren; and ten step great grandchildren. Also brothers, Herman of Edgewood, and Von of Mason.

Funeral services for Mr. Wilson will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Pagel Funeral Home in Edgewood with visitation from 5 to 9 today.
