As you have probably been able to guess by now, my interest is pretty much in American aircraft. However, the oddball sneaks in every now and then. The JU-88 is one such aircraft.
Several years ago when I was a kid, my Great-Grandmother Mary would occasionally purchase an airplane model kit for me. She had no knowledge of aircraft, so she probably just grabbed whatever box got in front of her hand. One time, it happened to be a JU-88.
Having built this model when I was a kid, I am aware of this aircraft and what it was. So when I saw this JU-88 on display, I just had to photograph it in tribute to Grandma Mary, now deceased. (Ironically, another kit that I once received from her by chance was a YF-12! Even she must have thought that was a neat looking plane!)
